Put Your Mind in Order with Chakra Cleansing

 

Ask nearly anyone these days and you will find that they seem to never find any time to relax. They are on the go from early morning until late in the evening. They may work, go to school, and have a family to cater to, or they could be caring for a loved one that is ill. All of these things cause more stress and can lead to someone feeling off balanced, tired, and irritable. This is when they need a chakra cleansing the most.

Your chakra is composed of several distinct points along the spinal cord that house tremendous natural healing and relaxation qualities. When someone is able to harness these amazing natural healing abilities, they will feel more prepared to face another day of stress and business. One great way to help cleanse your chakra is to practice some meditation techniques.

Meditation is a great way to align your body and mind. When you can take time to allow yourself to slip into the mental realms that are needed in order to heal yourself, your body and mind will be thankful for the opportunity. Meditation is something that has been practiced for many years and by many cultures. People across the earth have found the amazing calming results that are offered to someone that fits meditation into their lives.

When you first begin to practice meditation, expect that you will not be able to maintain the level of concentration that you need for a long period of time. As you begin to relax your body, you can literally feel the stress falling from your shoulders. Your goal is to completely clear your mind. You will have plenty of time to worry about what is for dinner or make a grocery list once you are done. For now, just think of nothing. You will be giving your mind a break that it needs to maintain the level of activity that it is put through on a daily basis.

Before you are really experienced at giving yourself a chakra cleansing, you will find that you can meditate and clear your mind fairly well for the first couple of minutes. Pretty soon, your brains natural instinct to keep working through your daily activities will begin to take over. You may start out with a clear mind but you will realize soon that you are now thinking about the day and not resting.

You must train your mind to allow itself to relax. This is a process that can take a little time. Each time you are meditating and you realize that your brain has switched into active mode, clear your mind once again. You could find yourself resetting several times before you actually reach a deep level of peace. That is fine and each time you meditate, this will happen less and less. You can train your mind that you will be shutting the thoughts down for a period of time.

Once you have trained your mind to shut down and allow itself to relax, you will find that you are really reaching a level of peace that you have not been able to experience in the past. Not only will your mind feel rested once you are done, your body should feel great as well. The chakra points in our bodies tend to work together. We have the ability to heal much quicker when our chakra is aligned correctly and taking some time to do some meditation each day can help us feel amazing.

For many people, they have found that meditation is just what they need to help them with a critical illness that they are facing. When someone’s body is put through a massive takeover of medications used to treat such conditions as cancer, or other difficult illnesses, it needs some help to deal with it. Meditation can allow your body and mind to get the rest and renewed energy that is needed to fight off these terrible illnesses. Chakra cleansing can help with this. When the body has a balance it will function better and will heal it quicker.

The body is amazing and meditation can help to heal the body quicker but medication could still be necessary for a positive recovery. The medication, however, will seem to work much better when the body is not fighting it off. When your chakra is aligned correctly, your body should be more receptive to the medication and the results may be much better than expected. Your mind is a powerful source that many people have not been able to harness. When you practice meditation, you are getting one step closer to mastering it and to finding the peace that your body and mind need. Aligning your chakra gives you an amazing sense of power that can come from no other place than your own body.

Basic Overview Of How To Open Your Chakras

 

 Knowing how to open your chakras will lead you to a peaceful, enjoyable existence. The seven chakras are:

 

  • Root chakra
  • Sacral chakra
  • Solar plexus chakra
  • Heart chakra
  • Throat chakra
  • Third eye chakra
  • Crown chakra

 

As you begin to consciously work on strengthening each chakra, the energy becomes balanced and evens out.

 

The root chakra is based on physical awareness. With this chakra open, the person will feel confident. The feelings of security and sensibility are governed by this chakra. When underactive, a person will feel insecure and nervous.

  • Be totally aware of your body. Practice yoga, clean the house, walk around the block to allow your body to become better known to you.
  • Ground yourself. Connect to the ground. Stand erect and relaxed. Place your feet at shoulder width and have a slight bend in the knee. Tilt your pelvis forward and keep balanced. Stand in this position for several minutes.
  • Sit cross-legged.
  • Bring the tips of your index finger and thumb together gently.
  • Concentrate on its meaning between the genitals and the anus.
  • Silently chant “LAM”
  • Relax and think about its effect in your life.
  • Continue with this exercise until you are relaxed.

The sacral chakra is involved with your sexuality and feelings. Feelings of liberty prevail when it is open. If under-active, you may be impassive and unemotional.

  • Sit on your knees, back straight, relaxed
  • Place your hands on your lap with the left hand below the right and the palm touching the fingers of right hand.
  • Think about your lower back.
  • Silently chant “VAM” while allowing yourself to relax and thinking about how the chakra effects your life.
  • Do this until you are relaxed.

The navel chakra encircles confidence. When open you will feel in control and have feelings of dignity. If underactive or closed, you will be indecisive and passive.

  • Sit on your knees, relaxed and with a straight back.
  • Place your hands in front of your stomach. Allow the fingers to join at the tops, pointing away from you. Straighten the fingers and cross your thumbs.
  • Concentrate on the chakra and its meaning. It is slightly above the navel, at the spine.
  • Silently chant “RAM”
  • Relax and continue to think about the chakra and its meaning.
  • Do this until you are relaxed.

The heart chakra is about love, endearment and caring.

  • Sit cross-legged
  • Touch the index fingers and thumbs at the tips on both hands.
  • Put your right hand in front of and at the bottom of the breastbone. Your left hand should sit on your knee.
  • Concentrate on the heart chakra and it’s level with the heart.
  • Chant “YAM”
  • Relax your body and think of how the chakra should affect your life.
  • Continue until completely relaxed.

The throat chakra provides the foundation for communication and self-expression. When open, it is easy to express yourself. If under-active, you will be quiet and not speak too much. It can also become closed if you lie too much.

  • Sit on your knees
  • Cross your fingers inside your hands. Allow the thumbs to touch at the top.
  • Concentrate on the chakra and its location at the base of the throat.
  • Silently chant “YAM”
  • Continue to relax your body and think of the meaning of the chakra and how it affects your life.
  • Continue for about five minutes.

The third eye chakra deals with insight. If it is open, you will have clairvoyance and dream. If under-active, you allow others to do your thinking for you.

  • Sit cross-legged
  • Place your hands in front of your breast at the lowest part. Straighten the middle fingers away from you. The other fingers touch and are bent. Thumbs will be pointing towards you and meet at the top.
  • Concentrate on the chakra and its location above the middle of the eyebrows.
  • Silently chant “AUM”
  • Your body should relax as you continue to think of your third eye.

The crown chakra is the most spiritual. It allows a person to become one with the universe

  • Sit cross-legged
  • Lay your hands in front of your stomach. Allow the pinky’s to point upward and away from you. Cross the rest of the fingers with the left thumb placed underneath the right.
  • Concentrate on the meaning of the crown at the top of your head
  • Silently chant “NG”
  • Opening this chakra will require at least ten minutes. If your root chakra is not strong, do not use it. Opening the root chakra is the first lesson in learning how to open your chakras.

Is Your Crown Chakra Blocked?

 

The seventh major chakra is the crown chakra. This chakra deals with the feeling of being one with the world and about wisdom. When this chakra is balanced and open you have no prejudices. You will also be very aware of both the physical and spiritual world. If you are not aware of your spirituality and are often rigid in your thinking, this chakra is most likely under active. On the other hand, if you intellectualize everything or are only concerned with spirituality while ignoring your wordly needs, this chakra is overactive.

Exercises to Help Open the Crown Chakra

As with all the chakras, there are exercises that you can do on your own to help you open the crown chakra. To get started, place your hands at stomach level and let both ring fingers point up, allowing them to touch at the top. Next, you’ll want to cross the rest of your fingers, with your left thumb being under your right thumb. Holding this position concentrate your mind on the Crown chakra which is located at the top of your head, and chant or say the sound NG.

The crown chakra deals with wisdom, energy, thoughts that flow easily, spirituality, and your enlightenment. When this chakra is in balance, you feel connected to God, but are still concerned with your physical body. If this chakra is out of balance or blocked you may feel frustrated, black joy, and even feel destructive to yourself or others. Several physical illnesses can follow when the Crown chakra is blocked, these include depression as well as headaches and severe migraines.

Many people find the chakras confusing and therefore, may choose to believe they are not real. However, there are many things that humans cannot touch, taste, or see that are indeed real. Therefore, if you are feeling physically ill, spiritually disconnected, and frustrated with life in general consider the possibility that your chakras may be out of balance, blocked, under active, or over-active.

Learning the seven major chakras offers you the ability to study and learn the energy wheel that flows within each of us. Do You Have A Blocked Third Eye Chakra?

 

Even if you know little about the seven chakras, you’ve probably heard something about the third eye chakra. The third eye has become a major focus for many people, due to the fact that it deals with your inner vision, insight, as well as your intuition. If this chakra is flowing smoothly, you have no problem fantasizing, visualizing the big picture, and you have insight into the situations around you. However, if this chakra is under active you may have a hard time being able to think for yourself, and therefore rely on people of authority. Also, the way you think may be tied in with your beliefs, or you may find yourself confused much of the time. On the other hand, if you tend to hallucinate and live in a fantasy world where you are fantasizing more than living your life, this chakra is overactive.

Exercise to Help Open the Third Eye Chakra

In order to have your third eye chakra flowing freely, there are some exercises you can do on your own to help balance this vital chakra. First of all, place your hands just before the lower part of your breasts, your middle fingers need to stay straight and touch at the tops and point forward. The rest of your fingers should be bent and touching at the knuckles. Point your thumbs towards you with them touching each other at the top. Now concentrate on this important chakra which is located just above your eyebrows. When you are ready, begin to chant OM or AUM. Practicing this exercise daily will help to open and balance this chakra so that you can gain insight and intuition easily.

The third eye chakra is the sixth chakra and is often linked to psychic ability. Moreover, when this chakra is balanced you find yourself being less selfish and open to receiving guidance. Physical symptoms of this chakra being closed include headaches, eye strain, and even blurred vision. If you are afraid of success, it is likely this chakra is out of balance. When the third eye chakra is balanced, you don’t feel attached to materialistic things, and you may have insight to different experiences such as telepathy.

Finally, when your third eye and the rest of the chakras are balanced, you will experience complete harmony due to your energies flowing in a balanced way. While many people find the chakras confusing and hard to grasp, it is something that has been studied for thousands of years.
