Fun Exercises for Opening Chakra

 

Open and aligned chakras allow for a more well-rounded life, they say. However, chakras don’t just open fully on their own—you have to work at it. However, opening and keeping your chakras balanced need not be a chore wrapped up in secrets and mysticism.

Here are five fun exercises that will help you achieve a healthy body in and out.

Opening Chakra Exercise #1 – Spinning ‘round and ‘round

This first exercise is so simple and fun it’s literally child’s play. A game that children play, doing this exercise will be a breeze, because it merely involves spinning ‘round and ‘round in a clockwise direction with your arms held up.

Opening Chakra Exercise #2 – Lift your leg up high

Start by lying flat on your back, pressing your palms on the ground. Slowly, lift your legs up in the air while you simultaneously lift your head up, bending your neck until your chin reaches your chest. Once done, revert back to your original position and repeat.

Opening Chakra Exercise #3 – The back breaker

No worries, this exercise isn’t as painful as its name suggests. To start things off, kneel on the floor, placing your feet behind you. Next, arch your back and neck until the walls and ceiling behind you are visible. Revert back to your original position, and repeat.

Opening Chakra Exercise #4 – Table topper

This one may prove to be a challenge. Keeping your back straight, proceed to sit down, keeping your hands at your sides, with your feet directly in front of you. Next, in one simultaneous movement, throw your head back, and raise your back up, remembering to keep it straight. Once done, lower yourself once again on to the sitting position, and repeat.

Opening Chakra Exercise #5 – Do the stretch

Start by lying on your stomach on the ground, keeping your palms down. Then, push up with your arms, and arch your head, neck, and back towards the ceiling. Hold the position, then revert to your original pose. Repeat.

Not only do these exercises help in opening the chakra, they also improve the general health and flexibility of your body.
