Great Chakra Exercises For Balance And Health

 

In as much as exercise is good for the general well-being of one’s body, so too does one’s chakras benefit from exercises that develop and enhance them. In performing the following chakra exercises, keep in mind that the main goal is to improve your chakra’s health and balance, and in so doing improve your overall health and balance as well.

Prior to conducting the actual exercises, it is best if you quiet your mind, breathing deeply and steadily. Once relaxed, you can now begin warming up. Once you’re fully warmed up, you can now proceed with the chakra exercises.

Root Chakra
• Lie flat on your back and bend your legs. Move your legs to the right, and turn your head in the opposite direction. Hold the position for several counts and then repeat it on your other side.
• Still lying flat on your back, place your arms along your sides, bend and lift your knees in the direction of your head, with your head off the floor and lifted towards the ceiling. Hold this position for three counts, then repeat twice.
• Stand up and spread your legs until you are squatting. Make sure that you remain balanced, with your feet flat on the floor. Hold this position for several counts.
• Resume lying on the floor. Relax.

Sacral Chakra
• Repeat steps one and two of the root chakra exercise. Straighten your legs, hold the position for three counts, and repeat twice.
• Stand up and up and extend your arms out to your side on a 30º angle. Gently lift one foot up from the ground until it is level with your other knee. Continue holding the position for several counts, and repeat with your other leg.
• Resume lying on the floor. Relax.

Naval Chakra
• Repeat step one of the root chakra exercise. Roll onto your stomach, lift one arm and its opposite leg off the floor. Hold, and repeat with your other side. Repeat twice.
• Standing straight, breathe deeply and concentrate on your naval area. Exhale sharply, pushing all the air out from your lungs. Do this twice.
• Resume lying on the floor. Relax.

Remember to enjoy a moment of silence in between your chakra exercises in order for you to benefit fully from the progress that you have made in the course of your work.
